Es ist wieder so weit: Am Dienstag, 28. Mai 2024, lädt das Soziologische Institut ab 16 Uhr herzlich zur Ausstellung und Diskussion mit den Studierenden über ihre Bachelorarbeiten ein.
The research paper analyses Volkswagen’s response to the Arab League boycott of Israel. It discovers the strategies employed by the German MNE in the 1960s and 1970s to maintain legitimacy across diverse markets amidst the contentious issue of the boycott against Israel.
Im Rahmen der Veranstaltungsreihe «Gender Matters» des Amtes für Soziales des Kantons St. Gallen nimmt Dr. Lea Stahel an einem Thementalk zu «Hass im Netz» teil. Dieser findet am 15. Mai 2024 ab 20:00 Uhr im Kinok - Cinema in der Lokremise in St. Gallen statt.

Every semester, our Department hosts a series of public talks (colloquiums) on the topic of «Current Sociological Research (CSR)» with local researchers and invited guest speakers. While these talks are mandatory for our Master's degree students, any interested members of the general public are welcome to assist - no registration needed.
We are excited to announce that Dr. Simon Jantschgi has been awarded the Annual Award of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences for his PhD Thesis «Market Design for Double Auctions». Congratulations!
Im Rahmen von «NZZ-Live» debattiert Prof. Dr. Katja Rost am Montag, 13. Mai 2024, zusammen mit Ronia Schiftan und Valentina Vapaux über die ambivalente und schwer greifbare Generation Z.
Zusammen mit anderen Alumni-Chapters organisiert das Alumni Chapter Soziologie am 14. Mai ein Referat von Prof. Dr. Ernst Fehr. Im Anschluss daran gibt es eine Diskussionsrunde mit Gästen aus der Politik.
